usually we just try to invite people we know will get along with everyone else, but other than that there's no real guidelines. Even that's not official- it's just polite.

I know how is the process... but how people ends up here? The actual "website generates a lot of traffic from other stuff than just me, about me or anything to do with "my online presence". They get here indirectly from say Google or another search engine system, that mainly picks up words or subjects people are looking for. That can range from words in one of my poems, or the name of a Smiley I made, down to a Desktop Image or a Tutorial I created to teach someone something new.word of mouth? That also does generate a fair volume of traffic, but again, that applies to both Forum & website. Not only has the Forum become more popular the longer it has been running, so has the people coming to the site for other sections as time has gone on.
That can be added to the bigger picture, the longer this place "exists" or has existed on the net, in a stable format. As in the pages stay where they are for a long length of time, the easier they become to find, or more people know of them to pass the links on. As the site has been open a while, the traffic is becomning steady. Some regular site visitor may eventually stray from say the Desktop section into the Tutorial Section, then maybe into the Forum to ask a question. Most post here cos they know someone thoughis everybody here friend of GT? can we invite people over? just curious It's an open door policy so long as people stick to the rules, or can be trusted to stick to the rules & general community spirit. The latter being one I myself having to "put up" with the Community or "the running" of it at least, do have the majority say in what goes on with that score. |

 Some of us just get dragged here kicking and screaming.  indeed! Mel did the kicking for me... but somehow I got hooked... I dunno why, cause this is not the first forum I joined after Mo-boards (Mo-boards was the first for me)... So I dont know what hooked me up... - could be my previous chat with GT. (not kissing up, but I remembered him from Mo-board, and we chat there every now and then) - the quantity of mo-boardlings in here.
