Ok I have been thinking about this since Wednesday and I have to say I am no where closer to knowing what I really want to say....

But for any one who hasn't read this check it out....

When I read it, it  kind of touch me in a way I hadn't really felt before...I definately don't know anything about poetry so I am unable to disect this and write some type of critique, and I wouldn't feel comfortable in asking G.T to explain the personal side of this publically, but I will probably pry into this in private with you at some stage....

All I know is that I have read and re-read this so many times now I could probably recite it, yet I am still unsure why it has touched me so profoundly.... Exclamation mark  Exclamation mark

eh. All of us have been into his poetry with him in public and in private- it's one of those things he doesn't seem to mind too much about.

Nice work, though.

Quote from: Written by G.T.
I'm in that warm cocoon of bliss,
Wrapped up inside a bubble of ignorance,
Caressed in the arms of I don't give a fuck numbness,
Over & beyond the bridge of pain & hurt...

The war, pain & suffering outside my window no longer exists,
       The famine, the homeless,
The jobless & those in need or suffering from another mans greed no longer matter.
As long as my window is not shattered nor my door broken down,
I am safe in sweet sweet oblivion,
Beyond the chime of a bell or trill of a tone...

I am at peace & unavailable,
I am at home...

It went ok. I'm not sure if I want to actually stay here or not, though.

They'd lost funding for the position, but the director and I sat down and he filled me in on a lot of inside information about the museums and galleries in the area. Stuff like who's hiring, who isn't, which ones would be a good match, etc. So I left armed with a ton of referrals, and he sent my CV along to a bunch of people. It was incredibly helpful.

A friend of mine here is an artist and connected with the local galleries pretty extensively, so we're going to go around and look at them, and he's planning to introduce me to a few people. So that's another possibility.

Yay!

And thanks for asking.  Happy

I guess it's quite a long way from home, but at least you have a few options which is always good....and it would give you a chance to travel round europe...

who knows hey...
whatever you decide I'm sure you'll enjoy it...have a good one, I'm off now for a weekend of partying... :)
