one thing that would really kick ass would be a quick reply box, posts would come quicker, would prolly save a lil bit on bandwidth since you wouldn't be loading the "post a reply" page every damn time

that's one that i'd actually be happy to see, i'd enjoy using it, where while the rest are cool, they just don't really do anything for my posting experience

without getting major tech or down and dirty with code which could result in a kill to the forum...

Even playing it safe with pre written Mods there lieth issues also, we run 2.0.10 here, which is modified up a bit to a 2.0.15, the hacks/MODs written that I could use are for 2.0.6...

So even with a safer though possibly fatal Hack rewrite the odds are stacked against it actually working because it was not written for a .10 version.  Especially one that is already well hand coded or premodified.

While I do concur, a fast reply set up is something I woul dlike myself, I keep hoping ahainst hope that the feature will one day be part of one of the more frequent and troublesome upgrades coming out of late.

As the time is forever ticking downwards on how long this place stays secure and running code wise and bugs is beyond my wildest guesses, once the time comes for another emergency or forced migration the fast reply box and some other basic essentials and systems other has stated they would like or I want to add will hopefully be ready and available in the software or coding and creation stages by myself.  I don't know when it's all gonna go bang or when we will change over again with grace and minimal fuss to a new community deal as we have here.

As it always seems to be, I am second guessing what could happen in one in a million chances that happen with startling regularity in one shape or another.  All I can do is man the pumps as best I can time wise, which is a lot.  While doing that I am also forward planning the next lillypad we can jump too or I can create to work with the older code or systems required to run features while also snuggly fitting with or being upgraded themselves and still having to work with even older code when the bridging attempt was made during a mandatory upgrade or patch.

As it stands (Adding on a bit in a general manner to all) when we next move we do get some added extras forum wise, though not great ones for you really at first.

The sign up process now has a user confirmation image thing, designed and great cos it stops spam bots which can create issues.  When we next move I also will only be fucking with non essential areas so the forum should upgrade and run stable for longer.  I will only play with the colour scheme and images while the actual forum will be more blended towards the original subSilver theme.

All points systems and Mod or Hacks that run here will not exist again as they are too deeply embedded in the main system files which causes issues in the long run as we now see.
